My goal with each patient is to fit and fabricate a custom prosthesis that is not only comfortable but also as undetectable by others as possible.
I am committed to creating ocular prosthetics of the highest quality. I have the experience to handle difficult cases and consider myself well versed with children of all ages.
We specialize in the most difficult cases -
*Very young children
*Contracted sockets - The contracted socket is one of the most difficult sockets an ocularist can encounter. The reason for contracted sockets vary from infection, extruded implants and alkaline burns. Under-developed sockets from birth are treated in a similar fashion. Mr. Imm has a lot of experience with contracted and under-developed sockets. We have a high success rate using pressure conformers to expand the socket fornices. Most of the time the socket can be expanded without the need for surgery. It is important to not leave the socket empty especially while infected. It is recommended that the patient wear the prosthesis or a conformer while being treated for an infection.
